UNDERSTAND YOUR RESULTS
What can a browser mouse test actually tell you?
A missed event or rapid click pair is a clue to investigate, not proof of a broken mouse. This guided check records only what your browser receives, so you can choose a useful follow-up test instead of guessing.
Can an online test tell if my mouse is broken?
No. A browser can show which mouse events it receives, but it cannot inspect the physical switch, sensor, USB polling circuit or battery. Repeat a suspicious observation in another app, port or computer before making a repair decision.
Why is a button or scroll direction missing?
The input might not have been tried during the timed step, or mouse software, browser shortcuts, remapping and trackpad behavior may affect which events reach this page. Repeat the focused test before assuming a device fault.
Is the displayed movement Hz my mouse's USB polling rate?
No. It estimates the rate of movement events the browser observed during this session. The operating system, browser scheduling, coalescing and pauses can change that estimate.
